Masked perpetrators attacked a jewelry store in the Westfield Mokotów shopping center. According to police findings, they used tear gas against a security employee, then broke windows in showcases and stole jewelry. A police manhunt is underway.

Information about the burglary reached the Mokotów police just before 11 a.m. According to Commissioner Ewa Kołdys from the Warsaw II District Police Headquarters, the incident took place in one of the jewelry stores in a shopping mall in Mokotów.

– Preliminary findings show that three masked perpetrators ran into the boutique. They used tear gas against a security guard. Then they terrorized the saleswomen with an object resembling a weapon, said the policewoman.

Then they smashed the display cases with heavy objects and stole the jewelry. – Police officers are working at the scene of the incident, and activities are underway to arrest the perpetrators – added Commissioner Kołdys.

No employees or customers of the shopping mall were injured.
