The 9th Rembertów Run will take place on Sunday, October 17th. Participants will cover a five-kilometer stretch. There will be changes in traffic organization for the duration of the competition.
The organizers say that this is one of the fastest five-kilometer races in Warsaw. The record of the Rembertów Run among men currently belongs to the marathon runner Jakub Nowak (14:33). Sabina Jarząbek (16:56) was the fastest among women so far. This year, half a thousand people will take part in the competition.
The race will start at 12.30. The start will be on the so-called small Kadrowa, and the finish line at the LI Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Tadeusz Kościuszko. “The fast and certified route will lead along the following streets: Kadrowa, al. Gen. Chruściela, ul. Bombardierów, ul. Zawodowa, again ul. Kadrowa, ul. Roty, ul. Pilarzy, ul. Kanonierska, again ul. Magenta Street, Listonoszy Street, then Kamasznicza Street, then Jerzy Street, Pacholęca Street and left into Kadrowa Street towards the finish line “- we read in the announcement of the event.
As the organizers have announced, the traffic on individual sections will be restored gradually and efficiently. The shortest time to turn off will be al. Gen. Chruściel “Monter”, because only for 20 minutes – from 12.25 to 12.45. Kadrowa Street will be closed for the longest time, near the start and finish – from 12:05 to 13:35.
As part of RUNbertowo, the Academic Championships of Warsaw and Mazovia in 5 km street runs will be held. There will also be a classification for the fastest inhabitants of Rembertów and a team classification. “Registration is still ongoing, until the limit is exhausted, less than 10 percent of vacancies remain” – we read further in the announcement.
