This weekend, June 6-8, Warsaw will again become the capital of running. Night Run, Freedom Run, Ursynów Run and triathlon struggles Ironman 70.3 and Triathlon 5150 Series will take place. The streets where the competitors will compete will be closed to traffic.
The competition in Night Run Warsaw will start on Friday, June 6, at 23.00 in the multimedia Fountain Park. The competitors will be running along the streets: Sanguszki, Konwiktorska, Bonifraterska, through Plac Krasińskich, Miodowa Krakowskie Przedmieście – around the Hoover square – and back on the same route. Sanguszki Street will be excluded from traffic from 21.30, and the remaining streets from 22.30. Drivers will return to them at midnight.
Detours for buses
“Buses line: 111, 116, 128, 175, 180, 503 518 and N44 will travel along Andersa Street, through Bankowy and Senatorska Plac” – said the City Transport Board.
For the inhabitants of the Old and New Town, there will be a lock enabling a trip. They will be at the intersections of Konwiktorska and Zakroczymska, Bonifraterska and Franciszkańska, Bonifraterska and Świętojerska and Długa streets.
Participants of Sunday triathlon competitions had two variants of the route to choose from: shorter 5150 Triathlon Series and longer Ironman 70.3. Most streets on the route will be closed from 7.30-15.30. Public transport buses will go by detours.
The triathlon competition will start on Sunday, at 8.00 at the Zegrze Reservoir. After swimming, athletes will get on bikes. They will go through the municipality of Nieporęt, and triathlonists who have chosen a longer distance also by municipalities of brands and Radzymin.
The competitors will enter Płochocińska Street. Then they will go along the streets: Modlińska, Aleja Kuklińskiego, through the Most Skłodowska-Curie, Wisłostrada to the Poniatowski Bridge, where they will turn towards the multimedia fountain Pak.
The next stage of the struggle will start in the Multimedia Fountain Park. There, the players will leave bikes and start running along the following streets: Sanguszki, Konwiktorska, Bonifraterska, Miodowa, through Plac Krasińskich, Miodowa, then in Krakowskie Przedmieście and after the verse at the height of the monument to Nicolaus Copernicus will return along the same way to Zakroczymska. Depending on the distance, athletes to cover will have two or four such loops. The last triathlete should end the struggle by 18.50.
Closed streets
“All streets on the route of runners will be closed from 8.00 to 18.00. Just like during the night run, a lock for residents enabling the entry and departure from the Old Town region has been prepared,” said the town hall.
People traveling along Szymanowska Street, from Słomiński's side, will have to turn left into Zakroczymska, from the lake side, drivers will be able to turn right in Szymanowska.
ZTM reported that changes in bus running can be made around 7.30. Then the sections of the bicycle route will be excluded from traffic.
For this reason, on the detours will be buses: from 7.30 to 14.30: 152, 705, 723, 731, 735, 736, 738, L44 and L45; from 7.30 to 15.00: 186, 509, 511, 516, 518, 723, 731 and from 7.30 to 15.30: 100, 106, 114, 118, 185;
From 8.00 to 18.00 streets on the route will be closed, then buses: 100, 116, 178, 180, 503 and 518 will go to the detours.
Runners in Ursynów
Also on Sunday, runners will compete in the Avenue of the National Education Committee during the next edition of the Ursynów Run. Preparations for the race will start at 8.00.
Then the roadway of Aleja Ken towards Kabat will be closed, from Gandhi to Płaskowicka, but without Rondo Krahelska. From 9.30 the entire competition route will be fenced, i.e. both roadways of Aleja Ken from Płaskowicka to Bartók – without intersections with these streets.

At 11.00 drivers will again go between Gandhi and Bartók, and half an hour later also from Gandhi to Płaskowicka.
“During the competition, buses of the line: 136, 148, 163, 179, 185, 192, 193, 209, 217, 503, 715 and 737 will run with detours,” reported ZTM.
On the same day the district competition will also take place in Ursus. To celebrate the next anniversary of partly free elections to the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland, the runners will cover the symbolic distance of 1989 meters.
The start and finish line of freedom will be in the square of June 1976. From there the players will run through the streets of Traczystoków, they will turn back at the height of the connector with Diremond Street, back to the square of June 1976 and further Hennela to the finish.
The competition route will be closed to traffic between 10.50-11.30. Lines: 194, 207 and 228 will run on detours.
