Until the end of the week, there will be difficulties on the bridge on the S2 South Bypass of Warsaw, opened in December. Road workers inform that the contractor will mill the road and then lay a new surface on it. During this time, the road will be narrowed.
As the capital branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informs, on Monday evening around 10.00 p.m., the implementation of the temporary organization will begin on the Anna Jagiellonka Bridge along the Warsaw Southern Bypass on S2. The southern roadway of the bridge will be narrowed towards Siedlce on the section between the Warszawa Wilanów and Wał Miedzeszyński junctions.
“Drivers will have one lane in the direction of Siedlce and one lane to the exit from S2 to Wał Miedzeszyński street. There will be a speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour” – reads the road workers’ announcement. They also assure that the works should be completed this week by August 8.

GDDKiA states that “the contractor, under the guarantee of proper performance, will mill the surface on an approximately 850-meter section of the main run, and then lay a new wearing course of the surface and make horizontal markings”.
Road workers also point out that “GDDKiA conducts control tests both at the stage of carrying out the works and throughout the warranty period and during the entire warranty period. Based on the results of the tests carried out during the warranty period, a decision was made to replace the wearing course” – they explain.
