Registration for the latest series of municipal guard trainings “Safe Varsovian” and “Safe Varsovian” is now open. Professional instructors will show participants how to avoid threats, how to defend themselves and how to provide first aid.
The last edition of “Safe Warszawianka” and “Safe Warszawiak” this year will start at the end of September. It is a series of 10 weekly meetings.
They will show you how to avoid dangerous situations
In this edition, in addition to the traditional Wola location at ul. Sołtyka 8/10, the course will be held for the first time also in the hall of the Praga-Południe Sports and Recreation Centre at ul. Bora-Komorowskiego 40. Thanks to this, there are places for over a hundred participants in the autumn edition.
During the classes, conducted by qualified instructors of municipal guard intervention techniques and tactics, the course participants will learn not only basic self-defense techniques. “Municipal guards will teach and show how to avoid dangerous situations, how to behave in the face of a threat, and if a confrontation does occur – how to discourage the attacker and effectively defend yourself against aggression,” the officers encourage in the invitation.
Participants will learn defense techniques against the most common types of attack, training in how to effectively engage bystanders in helping, and how to react as a witness to a dangerous event. The classes in the sports hall are supplemented by learning the basic principles of first aid.
Registration for women and men
Registration starts September 11th at 08:00.
Women can apply in two ways:
– by phone, between 8:00 and 14:00 on the number 22 855 33 13
– using online registration via the website www.strazmiejska.waw.pl (from the “Residents” tab, select “Services Catalogue” and then “Training for adults” – this option requires registering a resident profile).
Registration for the men’s group will take place only by phone, on the same date and at the same number.
If there are any free spots left, registration will be resumed. September 12th at 8:00 and will be conducted on the same principles.
– We don't teach how to attack, we teach how to repel an attack and how to avoid it – this is how the instructors describe the course. At the end of each course, they always wish the participants the same thing: may the skills acquired here never be useful.
