The terrace garden of the Krasiński Palace in Ursynów, belonging to the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, was made available to walkers. One of the district councilors Paweł Lenarczyk sought for this for many years. The garden can be visited every day.
Rector of the SGGW prof. dr hab. Michał Jerzy Zasada, opening the garden, noted that this is a place that connects history with nature.
– We are glad that we were able to make this area available to the inhabitants of Warsaw, which would not have been possible if it wasn't for very good cooperation with the local government authorities of the Ursynów and Wilanów districts and the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection – he said.
He said that the terraces team and the fountain were formed in the first assumption 250 years ago, and in the recreated form we see today, in the mid -nineteenth century.

Vice -chairman of the Ursynów Council Paweł Lenarczyk thanked all those present on behalf of the residents. He appealed to provide residents with the area of Natoliński Park and the Natolski Palace located in its area. He noted that it is not about what is now, i.e. the ability to sign up for trips, but that it was widespread access to natural goods.
– I believe that in a while we will be able to meet at a similar ceremony in the Natoliński Park – he emphasized.
Was founded in the 18th century
The former Palace of Delight, currently the seat of the SGGW rector's office, was built between 1775 and 1780 on the initiative of Princess Izabella Lubomirska, as a wedding gift for her daughter Aleksandra and Stanisław Kostka Potocki. The young couple was to spend honey months there. According to another version, the residence was prepared for the favorite of the Duchess, the Royal Shamese, colonel of the Crown Army Józef de Maisonneuve.
Initially, it was a modest house in an orchard with a varied grotto at the foot of the escarpment, with a source gushing in front of it. Soon a classicist one -story pavilion with a four -column portico was created. Architectural changes were accompanied by changes in owners.
To this day there is a memory of Julian Ursyna Niemcewicz, who, being the owner of pleasure, changed its name to Ursynów, from the nickname of the Niemcewicz family.
Sixteenth host
After the fall of the November Uprising, the confiscated property of Niemcewicz, she bought around 1857, Eliza née Branicki Krasińska, wife of the poet and playwright Zygmunt. The palace was rebuilt in the neo -Renaissance style.
Adam Krasiński, an opinion of Opinogórski, in 1906 handed over the property of the folk teachers seminar, and Krasiński's heir, count Edward Raczyński in 1921 – the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment. At that time, the State Horticultural Junior High School was established here.
Currently, the sixteenth host of the former rural residence on the Skarpa is the University of Life Sciences.
