“At the Warszawa Zachodnia station, the technical services of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA are removing a defect in railway traffic control devices that occurred after the storm passed” – informed Magdalena Janus from the press team of PKP PLK in a press release.
Trains passing through this station may be delayed by several dozen minutes. “Information about changes is provided at stations and stops as well as on trains” – assured Janus.

The storm also caused difficulties on the roads, specifically on the S79 route near Chopin Airport. “As a result of heavy rainfall, the turning lane and the exit slip road in Sasanki Street towards Å»wirki i Wigury Street were flooded. As senior captain MichaÅ‚ Klaus from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw informed us before 7 am, so far firefighters have received a total of 14 reports related to rainfall. – They all concern flooded basements or fallen trees. There were no injuries, the firefighter said.
