The holiday trains of Koleje Mazowieckie – “Słoneczny” and “Słoneczny – BIS” – will take Varsovians to the seaside. They will go on tour on the first Saturday of summer holidays, June 24. Tickets will be available for purchase a few days in advance, from June 18.

Already on Sunday, June 18, the pre-sale of tickets for the holiday trains of Koleje Mazowieckie – “Słoneczny” and “Słoneczny – BIS” will begin – announced Donata Nowakowska, spokeswoman for Koleje Mazowieckie on Thursday.

Tickets will be available for purchase at ticket offices, ticket machines, mobile applications and in the online sales system, and on the day of the journey also from the train manager.

“Słoneczny” will run on the Warsaw – Ustka – Warsaw route seven days a week. The popular summer connection, just like last year, will be joined by “Słoneczny – BIS”, which will take Varsovians to Gdynia. It will be available on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Both trains will be operated by Bombardier double-deck cars.

Just like last year, a normal one-way ticket from Warsaw to Ustka costs PLN 75, and to the Tri-City PLN 60. There is good news for railroads. The offer for the route Słupsk – Ustka will be extended by the section Słupsk – Gdynia. The minimum ticket price according to the offer for the Ustka – Słupsk route according to the normal tariff will be PLN 7, and the maximum price for the entire Gdynia – Ustka route is PLN 27.

Schedule changes

This year, due to renovation of the Warszawa Zachodnia station, the timetable of holiday connections will change. Departure times from stations where trains stop will be different. In addition, “Słoneczny” and “Słoneczny – BIS” will start and end the run at the following stations: Warszawa Centralna or Warszawa Zachodnia.

On June 24, June 25 and September 3, “Słoneczny” will set off from Warszawa Centralna. On the other days, the first stop will be Warszawa Zachodnia station.

Koleje Mazowieckie announced that the train will reach Ustka in about six hours. From June 26 to August 18, it will end its route at the Warszawa Zachodnia station, and on the remaining days – Warszawa Centralna.
