A serious accident took place on Saturday evening at Gołkowska in Mokotów. The driver of the car hit a tree and a concrete pole, breaking them. The police determined that he had more than two per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

As established by the reporter of tvnwarszawa.pl Artur Węgrzynowicz, the incident took place near the intersection of Gołkowska and Św. Boniface. The Skoda driver pulled off the road, broke a concrete lantern and a tree, and stopped across the road. The engine and child seat fell out of the car. When the firefighters arrived, the driver was outside the vehicle. Seeing the destruction, the services searched the surrounding area, suspecting that there may be more people injured. But they did not find anyone else – said Węgrzynowicz.

He added that the driver was taken to the hospital.

Marta Gierlicka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters informed that the services received the information about the incident at 20.28. – Skoda driver crashed into a tree. His state of sobriety was examined. It turned out that he had over two per mille of alcohol – said the policewoman.

Gołkowska was blocked for several hours. Buses 159 and 162 were directed to the detour.
