A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of beating up an employee of one of the stores in Wola. The detained man also allegedly damaged shop windows. The 19-year-old was charged with six charges.

Police officers from Wola were conducting activities in connection with a report regarding property damage. According to the police, the aim was to destroy a shop window and damage a camera. “During the investigation, it turned out that the perpetrator broke into the shop where the injured party worked, punched him in the face and made criminal threats, and also allegedly damaged his vehicle,” said Superintendent Marta Sulowska from the Warsaw IV District Police Headquarters in a statement.

Uniformed officers from the department combating property crime in Wola established the man’s identity.

The officers detained a 19-year-old man, who was then placed in a police cell. “After collecting the evidence, the suspect was charged with a total of six charges of damaging property, making criminal threats and violating the functions of a body organ lasting less than seven days,” Sulowska reported.

At the request of the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor’s Office to apply isolation measures to the suspect, by court decision the man was temporarily arrested for three months. For these crimes, he may be sentenced to up to 5 years in prison.
