The town hall has completed formalities related to the takeover of the so -called spy. The city received a property worth over PLN 102 million in a donation from the Treasury. The complex of buildings once occupied by Russian diplomats is waiting for renovation.
Warsaw authorities announced a formal takeover of the buildings “Szypievowa” on January 20. Warsaw President Rafał Trzaskowski and the Mazovian voivode Mariusz Frankowski then signed an agreement. Earlier, in April 2022, it passed to the city's management, but its owner was the State Treasury. This meant that the property was managed by the President of Warsaw, but all ownership decisions were made with the consent of the Mazowieckie Voivode.
– The agreement assumes the transfer of this building from the Treasury to the city of Warsaw – said Trzaskowski in January.
A complex worth over PLN 100 million
The city received a spy in a donation. On Friday, February 21, the town hall published an ordinance in this matter, signed by Vice President Renata Kaznowska. This means the end of formalities related to the process of taking over the complex.
The content of the document emphasized that the city acquires the ownership of real estate in order to “satisfy the collective needs of the community in the field of housing, including the increase in the housing resource of municipal.”
The complex is located on the plot at 100 Sobieskiego Street. It has an area of 6.2 thousand. sq m. According to the local plan for Sielce from 2021, this area is intended for multi -family housing and non -inconvenient services, including public services as a supplementary purpose. According to the town hall, the value of the property is PLN 102.8 million.
They plan to renovate “spy”
The President of Warsaw announced in January that “spy” would be renovated, but two buildings from Sobieskiego Street will be demolished. In their place, new ones with a height of several floors will be built.
– We're ready to start. But there is also a matter of financing. We will try to do it so that not all money goes from the city budget, but to support the funds with BGK – he said.
Trzaskowski emphasized that in order to apply for this funding, it was necessary to take over the complex from the Treasury. He also pointed out that the investment schedule is to be made public within a few weeks.
