Warsaw. The Colorful Equality Parade will pass through the streets of the city. Traffic impediments

At 2 p.m., the Equality Parade will set off in front of the Palace of Culture and Science. A little earlier, the Town of Equality will be opened in Świętokrzyski Park. Traffic delays in the city center are to be expected.

The Equality Parade is an annual celebration of freedom, openness and solidarity. It is attended by the LGBT+ community, but also by all people for whom equal treatment and respect for diversity are important. A colorful march through the streets of the city will start at 2 pm, but many events and accompanying events are organized at the parade itself

In the Świętokrzyski Park, next to the Palace of Culture and Science, from the side of the Youth Palace, the Equality Town will start operating at 11 am. Stands and tents of non-governmental organizations will be set up on site, including Lambda Association, Love Does Not Exclude Association acting against discrimination and exclusion. People with disabilities will also find support in the Equality Town. Help can be obtained from at the stand of the Avalon Foundation.

The Warsaw Equality Parade will start at 14. Cars and platforms will line up on Świętokrzyska and Emilii Plater Streets. From there, the parade will go along Marszałkowska Street to Plac Konstytucji, then along Waryńskiego Street to the Jazdy Polskiej roundabout, where it will turn into Armii Ludowej Avenue to reach Aleja Niepodległości, Chałubiński Avenue and Aleja Jana Pawła II. At the ONZ roundabout, the participants of the event will turn again into Świętokrzyska Street.

Traffic disruptions and changes in communication

Due to the parade, changes in the organization of traffic are planned. During the formation of the parade formation, it is possible to close Świętokrzyska Street, as well as Emilii Plater and Marszałkowska Streets. Then, until 5 p.m., the police may decide to close further streets along the route of the demonstration, as well as roads crossing the route of the march.

As the parade moves along, changes to the functioning of public transport will also be introduced. Buses of the following lines will run on other routes: 100, 109, 111, 116, 117, 118, 127, 128, 131, 138, 143, 151, 158, 159, 160, 171, 174, 175, 178, 200, 502, 507 , 514, 517, 519, 520, 521, 522, 523, 525.

During the march, trams will not run along Marszałkowska Street and Aleje Jerozolimskie. The routes will be changed by tram lines: 4, 7, 9, 15, 17, 22, 24, 33, 35, 36, 78.

During the parade, both metro lines will run without any problems.
