Audit of dangerous places, self-defense courses, more cameras. The Mayor of Śródmieście and councilors from the Civic Coalition talk about their actions and ideas for improving safety in the district after the brutal rape on Żurawia Street in Warsaw.

As reported by representatives of Śródmieście (mayor Aleksander Ferens, councilor Agnieszka Gierzyńska-Kierwińska, chairman of the KO Councilors’ Club Marcin Rolnik), a decision was made to organize free self-defense courses for women.

“In addition, we would like to announce that we are asking the city guard and the city center police to conduct an audit of the list of particularly dangerous places to check whether this area of Żurawia Street and the surrounding area is included in it. We also request an increase in the number of patrols and the installation of monitoring cameras, which will enable ongoing monitoring of potentially dangerous situations,” they wrote.
