During the long weekend, the first metro line will run on the shortened route Młociny – Dworzec Gdański. The difficulties will start on November 11, in the evening. Passengers will be able to use alternative bus and tram lines during this time. Difficulties start on Thursday at 21.
Metro Warszawskie intends to shut down the section between the Gdańsk Railway Station and Kabaty. On November 11-14, trains will run only from Młociny station to Dworzec Gdański station. Impediments coincide with the shutdown of three stations of the second metro line in Targówek and Praga Północ, lasting from November 6 to 13. So, in total, as many as seventeen stations will be turned off.
The shortening of the first line will take place on Thursday, November 11, around 21.00. On this day and on Sunday, November 14, the metro will have a holiday timetable. On Friday, November 12, the trains will run according to the Saturday timetable, but during the rush hours, the departures will run with increased frequency. November 13 will be the day with the standard Saturday timetable. There will be no night service on Friday / Saturday nights and Saturday / Sunday nights.
Changes in the running of trams
For the duration of works on the first metro line, ZTM will launch a replacement communication.
Passengers will be able to use the trams of the supplementary line 71. During rush hours, trains will arrive at the stops with a frequency of 4 – 5 minutes. They will go on the route: METRO MARYMONT – Słowackiego – pl. Wilson – Mickiewicza – Gen. Andersa – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska – Puławska – METRO WILANOWSKA.
On Friday there are trams of the line 14 will run on a changed route: BANACHA -… – Puławska – Woronicza – Wołoska – Marynarska – PKP SŁUŻEWIEC.
Line compositions 17 will have additional courses on Friday on the route: Twardowska – PKP Służewiec. Moreover, the tram lines 17 and 18 they will come to stops more often during rush hours.
The lines will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday 14and lineups 17 will run more frequently to the Winnica loop.
Replacement bus communication
Buses will run instead of metro trains ZM1 and Z-1.
Coaches ZM1 they will run on November 11 from 21.00 – 0.30 (every 5-10 minutes on average). On the following days, that is from November 12 to 14, from 5.00 to 24.00 (during Friday communication peaks, they will arrive at stops every 3 minutes, and on Saturday and Sunday every 4-5 minutes).
Line route ZM1 to: METRO KABATY – al. KEN – al. Scouts of the Commonwealth – Agricultural – al. Wilanowska – al. Niepodległości – Trasa Łazienkowska – Roundabout of Jazdy Polskiej – Waryńskiego – pl. Konstytucji – Marszałkowska – pl. Bankowy – Gen. Andersa – Mickiewicza – pl. Wilson – Słowacki – MARYMONT.
Night courses ZM1 (at nights 12/13 November and 13/14 November) will run on the entire route of the M1 line. Passengers will meet buses on the route: METRO KABATY – al. KEN – al. Scouts of the Commonwealth – Agricultural – al. Wilanowska – al. Niepodległości – Trasa Łazienkowska – Roundabout of Jazdy Polskiej – Waryńskiego – pl. Konstytucji – Marszałkowska – pl. Bankowy – Gen. Andersa – Mickiewicza – pl. Wilson – Słowacki – Żeromski – Sakharov – Kasprowicz – METRO MŁOCINY.
Line buses Z-1 will run from Friday to Sunday during the times of greatest use of the metro. This means that on Friday they will run from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m., on Saturday 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. and on Sunday – 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. The stops will arrive with the same frequency as the ZM1 buses.
Line route Z1 to: METRO WILANOWSKA – al. Niepodległości – Trasa Łazienkowska – Roundabout of Jazdy Polskiej – Waryńskiego – pl. Konstytucji – Marszałkowska – pl. Bankowy – gen. Andersa – METRO TOWN HALL-ARSENAŁ.
Additionally, ZTM will extend the routes of suburban lines. Line buses 710, 724 and 742 they will commute to the Wilanowska metro station, not to Kabaty. Thanks to this, passengers will be able to change to the trams of the line 71.
