The passenger car crashed into a bus stop and barriers on Grochowska Street. He ended his ride on the track, blocking tram traffic in both directions. The drivers and passengers of public transport suffered from serious traffic disruptions. The technical services of the Warsaw Trams worked on the spot.

The incident took place at the intersection of Grochowska and Żółkiewskiego Street. – The Lexus driver was driving Grochowska from the Ignacego Mościcki roundabout towards the Wiatraczna roundabout. For unknown reasons, he fell off the road into a bus stop, destroyed the seatpost with the timetable and several spans of metal barriers, and then crashed into the track – reported Tomasz Zieliński from tvnwarszawa.pl.


As our reporter described, the car stopped across the tracks, blocking tram traffic in both directions. – In addition, a lot of crushed stone accumulated between the rails fell on the road, which also caused difficulties for drivers – emphasized Zieliński.

There were services of the Warsaw Trams, the fire brigade and the police on the spot. – Firefighters secured the car. A tram driver pulls them out of the track. Because of this action, the pedestrian traffic in Grochowska was completely stopped – our reporter warned in the afternoon report.

The Public Transport Authority initially announced that the routes for trams 3, 6, 9 and 24 were shortened to the end of Wiatraczna. The inconvenience ended before 6 p.m.
