The police denies data on the number of vacancies in the capital garrison, which publicly states Law and Justice. There are 2650, not over 10,000. In Warsaw alone, 1068 policemen are currently missing.

On Monday, MPs of Law and Justice organized a press conference during which they talked about migration packet. The head of the PiS club Mariusz BÅ‚aszczak stated that the level of security has decreased in Warsaw and that the introduction of the pact would make the situation worse. Referring to this situation, he added that there are “over 10,000 vacancies” in the capital's police.

Two weeks earlier, at a conference in the Sejm, MPs of Law and Justice, Olga Semeniuk -Patkowska and Anita CzerwiÅ„ska, drew attention to – in their opinion – a large number of unhota jobs in the police in Warsaw, which affects the sense of security of the capital's inhabitants.

When asked about the number of vacancies, a spokesman for the Warsaw Police Headquarters, the junior inspector Robert Szumiata said that There are 2650 vacancies in the capital garrison, of which 1068 in Warsaw.

In turn, the deputy head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration CzesÅ‚aw Mroczek said in January the Polish Prague Agency that there is in the police “Nearly 13.5 thousand vacancies” on a national scale.

The President of Warsaw RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski, recently referring to the issue of security in the city, reminded, among others During the February conference with the “Warsaw Protection” program introduced in the capital. In the context of reports of an increase in crime among migrants, he said that the city authorities are aware of this and counteract it together with the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. Trzaskowski noted at the time that the police receive subsidies for additional patrols, and the officers get new equipment, the Monitoring Center and the Security Bureau are strengthened.

In 2018-2024, the city allocated almost PLN 40.5 million for KSP activities. In 2024, this amount amounted to over PLN 7.5 million. It was co -financed, among others oversized services, prizes for outstanding officers and maintenance of official horses. The city bought specialist equipment: cars, trailers for horses and cars for transporting services, as well as bicycles. It has also financed or co -financed by ICT equipment, medical and police technique.

In 2025, the city wants to allocate 30 apartments that officers of the capital's uniformed services can rent. In total, there are 34 places, most of which are in Wola.

In February, the capital's councilors adopted a resolution on the payment of a one -off benefit of PLN 12,000 for children of rescuers and officers who died at duty in Warsaw.
