The PLL LOT plane from Warsaw to Tallinn returned to Chopin Airport due to a technical fault and the lack of a mechanic at the destination. According to the carrier, passengers will resume their journey on another plane.

“I confirm that the plane of LOT Polish Airlines, which took off from Warsaw to Tallinn, returned to Chopin Airport. According to the carrier, after changing the plane, the flight is to be continued” – Anna Dermont, spokeswoman for Chopin Airport, informed.

We asked PLL LOT about the incident.

“We would like to inform you that due to a technical fault and lack of a mechanic in Tallinn, a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flying from Warsaw to Tallinn, turned back to Chopin Airport and landed with the assistance of airport services,” the LOT press office said in response. It added that it was not an emergency landing. “Passengers will continue their flight with another plane that will take off from Chopin Airport in about an hour” – it was indicated after 5 p.m.
