A sentence for Piotr P., accused of killing the two of his children: Liliana and Mieszko, was passed in the District Court in Warsaw. The court decided that the man was guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

The end speeches of the pages began on January 9. Some of them took place excluding openness. The prosecutor's office, mother of children and her representative demanded life imprisonment for Piotr P.. In turn, the defense requested acquittal. The accused throughout the whole trial, which lasted five years, maintained: I did not kill my children.

The court found that Piotr P. was guilty of the murder of both his daughter and his son. He sentenced him to life imprisonment. The accused was not in the room when announcing the sentence. He answered with a free foot. The verdict is not final.

First, daughter's cot death, then a son's accident

Investigators found that first a three -month -old daughter of the man died in mysterious circumstances. The girl was hospitalized in April 2016. Doctors diagnosed her so -called Ugly pneumonia. On April 22, shortly after the child returned from the hospital, the wife of Piotr P. went to the store. The daughter was looked after.

When a woman returned to the apartment and looked into her daughter's bedroom, she saw that she did not give a sign of life. The couple called an ambulance. The arrived doctor found the child's death. It was to occur for natural reasons due to cardiopulmonary failure.

On September 8, 2017, another drama happened in the family. Piotr P. claimed that he entered the dark room, caught his foot on the rug and stumbled. Then the five -month -old son flew out of his hands and hit the floor. The boy was resuscitated and taken to the hospital, where he died after three hours. The duty doctor decided that infant injuries were too extensive for a fall and the facility informed the services.

The experts did not believe in the accident, investigators exhumed their daughter

The experts ruled out that the boy's death was the result of a simple fall. In their opinion, the child's body was affected with considerable strength. The boy had a cracked skull. The opinion showed that he could be hit by a blunt tool, hit with a lot of strength on the floor or furniture. He also had rib injuries that could not arise during resuscitation.

In November 2017, Piotr P. was arrested. He heard the allegation of the boy's murder. At the same time, investigators began to suspect that the death of a three -month -old girl could also be the result of his actions. In February 2018 they led to exhumation. The pathomorphologist said at the time that the cause of death was a massive choking that could be fake. The man heard another murder allegation.

A witness in the case of Piotr P. was, among others Piotr K., who stayed with him in one cell in the detention center in Białołęka. He testified that Piotr P. told him how he killed the children.
