Warsaw. The run of the 3rd May Constitution. Competition results

Over 6.5 thousand people took part in the 3rd May Constitution. Runners covered a five -kilometer route leading along Śródmieście streets. The fastest of the participants – Kamil Herzyk – reached the finish within 14 minutes and 16 seconds. Emilia Mazek won in the women's competition with a time of 16.38.

At 11 o'clock the competition began in the 33rd Run of the 3rd of May. The organizers have prepared a new route. This time the start and finish were located at Plac Trzech Krzyży. Runners moved south with Aleje Ujazdowskie. Later they turned and headed north along Marszałkowska Street, Plac Zbawiciela and Plac Konstytucji. After reaching Roman Dmowski roundabout, they turned into Aleje Jerozolimskie. At the roundabout of General Charles de Gaulle, they turned right and returned to Trzech Krzyży Square again.

The start took place in waves. The fastest competitors started the competition at 11 o'clock. Five minutes later, runners took off, who want to run a distance of five kilometers in 25-30 minutes. After a few minutes, the third and fourth waves started. At the end, i.e. at 11.20 Nordic Walking began.

The runners had 55 minutes to beat the five -kilometer route.

Three runners broke the barrier of 15 minutes. Kamil Herzyk (14.16) was the first to reach the finish line. Konrad Pogorzelski (14.22) and Krzysztof Wasiewicz (14.59) came behind him.

Women's competition was outclassed by Emilia Mazek, who improved her life record at 16.38. Zuzanna Pyszel (18.09) and Aleksandra Karolczuk (18.13) also stood on the podium.

– My previous result was weak – 16.55. I expected this record. I did it. With the coach I dated the temperature of 3.20 per kilometer, and I managed to run even a little faster, so it turned out – said Mazek.

On Saturday, the weather was conducive to runners. It was sunny, but not very warm. – Really. I did not feel this heat somehow severely – commented the winner of the run.

Along the route and at the start and finish there were supporting zones, from where the players could be cheered on and to use prepared attractions and activities.

The Run of the 3rd of May is this year's first event included in the Warsaw Running Triad “Stand for memory”, which also includes the Warsaw Uprising Run and Independence Run.
