A student flying to Madrid underwent a routine check at Chopin Airport. He suddenly got into trouble, all because of a gift from a friend.
The Polish citizen was flying to Madrid, where he lived and studied. He reported for a routine security check at Warsaw Chopin Airport. He didn’t expect that the gift he received earlier from his friend would cause him so much trouble.
“One piece of ammunition was discovered in the student’s checked luggage. The man did not have a firearms permit and explained that he received the cartridge from one of his friends during his stay at a camp in Poland,” says the Nadwiślański Border Guard Branch in a press release.
No other prohibited items were found in the student’s apartment, where the officers went. The traveler was questioned as a witness and received a fine of PLN 500. After the activities were completed, the man was released.
