However, before the plan becomes a fact, residents can vote on the matter. Public consultations start on April 6 and will last until May 24. You can participate in them in several ways, e.g. stationary, online or by phone.

Works on the local spatial development plan for the area of the Krasiński Garden are in progress. This is a document that will define how the area will be arranged. The project will be made publicly available. So anyone can see it and make a suggestion for changes.

The local plan consists of two parts: the text of the plan (which is the content of the resolution of the city council) and the drawing of the plan (which is an illustration to the text). “Both of these parts are inextricably linked – it makes no sense to read the text itself without looking at the drawing and vice versa” – informed the town hall in a communiqué. The plan will be available on the website of the city hall from April 6 or in the Office of Architecture and Spatial Planning, Aleje Jerozolimskie 44, level -1, entrance from WOM, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

The space needs tidying up

As indicated by the town hall, the project area of the plan, due to its representative character and historical and aesthetic value, requires ordering public spaces, greenery and indicating possible additions to the buildings in the existing quarters of buildings. “All administrative decisions should be made in accordance with the provisions set out in the local plan” – it was noted.

The Town Hall informed that the main purpose of the plan is to determine the principles of spatial order and shaping the building structure, as well as to protect the existing historical, cultural and natural values. “The local plan will also be able to secure and take into account the needs of residents and users of the area” – added.

At the same time, it was emphasized that the draft plan preserves and protects the existing spatial structure, including: the quarter character of the development, the layout of public spaces and roads, the characteristic parameters of the development, as well as “the multifunctionality of the areas as a specificity of the area in the very center of the city”.
