The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage announced a competition for the position of director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum. According to the ministry, applications should be submitted by January 24, 2025.

A candidate for the position of director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum should have a master's degree, know English to a level enabling business contacts, as well as regulations on the functioning and financing of cultural institutions. According to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the competition will also take into account: a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a team of at least 30 people, knowledge of the specific nature of work in public and martyrdom museums, education and scientific achievements in one of the fields related to the activity. statutory Warsaw Ghetto Museum. Documents should be submitted by January 24, 2025. The competition procedure is scheduled to end by February 23, 2025.

The museum was established in 2018

The Warsaw Ghetto Museum was established by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2018. Its mission is to disseminate knowledge about everyday life, survival strategies, struggle and extermination of Polish Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto and other ghettos in German-occupied Poland. The final seat of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum is the complex of buildings of the former Children's Hospital. Bersohn and Bauman at ul.
