What competences should the new director have?
The requirements that candidates must meet include: a minimum of 5 years of work experience in cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations or entities operating in the field of culture and memory policy, and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a managerial position in public finance sector units. operating in the field of culture and memory policy.
A candidate for the position of director of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum should have a master's degree, know English to a level enabling business contacts, as well as regulations on the functioning and financing of cultural institutions. He must also enjoy full public rights and have full legal capacity and have no criminal record for an intentional crime prosecuted by public indictment or an intentional fiscal crime.
According to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the competition will also take into account: a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a team of at least 30 people, knowledge of the specific nature of work in public and martyrdom museums, education and scientific achievements in one of the fields related to the activity. statutory Warsaw Ghetto Museum. High interpersonal skills, as well as amicable dispute resolution and crisis management, documented cooperation in the field of cultural activities on the national or international forum, as well as postgraduate studies, courses and training in team/cultural institution/finance/project management are also welcome.

The museum was established in 2018
The Warsaw Ghetto Museum was established by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2018. Its mission is to disseminate knowledge about everyday life, survival strategies, struggle and extermination of Polish Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto and other ghettos in German-occupied Poland. The final seat of the Warsaw Ghetto Museum is the complex of buildings of the former Children's Hospital. Bersohn and Bauman at ul.
