Warsaw. Theft in a discount. Police: The man wounded the bodyguard with a broken bottle

In Praga, a north shopping guard ran for a man who stole the expensive alcohol. In front of the premises, an aggressive customer attacked him with a broken bottle and hurt him.

On Wednesday, North -Plan police officers received a notification about an attack on a store employee at Haller Square. On the spot, they determined that the security guard ran from a discount behind the client who stole five bottles of expensive alcohol.

“When he tried to pick them up, there was a struggle between them, during which an aggressive man attacked him with a bruised bottle and wounded. His colleague from work started to help the shop employee. Men together overpowered the attacker,” she described the nadkom. Paulina Onyszko from the Warsaw VI Police District Headquarters.

The rescuers called to the place provided a wounded bodyguard, and then took him to the hospital.

The attacker was under the influence of alcohol

Policemen also appeared on the spot. After determining the circumstances of the incident, the officers stopped the 28-year-old. “A breat with a breathalyzer, which they performed at the command at Jagiellońska Street, showed that the detainee had half a per mil of alcohol in the breath. Checking his data in the police system showed that he was already punished before” – added Onyszko.

The store representative and the victim himself testified. Policemen also secured the recording from store cameras. The material they collected in this proceeding was forwarded to the Warsaw Praga Północ District Prosecutor's Office, which initiated an investigation based on it.

Robbery in recidivism

The 28-year-old detained in the prosecutor's office was questioned. The prosecutor charged the man with robbery theft and damage to the store's employee's bodily, acting in recidivism. He also applied to the court for a man's detention on remand. The court granted this application. The 28-year-old will spend the next three months in the detention center.

He may be punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
