Warsaw. They are repairing the fountain in Szymański Park

The repair of the fountain in Szymański Park is divided into two stages. The first one has already been completed. The second one will start after the damaged items are delivered.

“Before Christmas, we completed the first stage of repairing the damaged fountains in the E. Szymański Park. The fog fountain is now fully operational, while the second stage of repairing the 'splash' fountain will be carried out in the first quarter of 2025. This is because the waiting time for some damaged elements is several weeks,” the mayor of Wola, Krzysztof Strzałkowski, announced on social media.

He announced that additional security measures and information boards will soon appear in the fountain area. Until then, both facilities will be fenced. “The cost of repair work will be covered by the company whose employee drove a tractor into the fountains in September and damaged them,” Strzałkowski emphasized.

The fountain in Szymański Park was destroyed on September 9. The tractor driver, who was pulling a barrel with the intention of watering the vegetation, drove onto the slabs under which the fountain installation is located. The supports supporting the structure could not bear the weight and the tractor fell inside to a depth of about a meter.

The operation to remove the tractor using a crane lasted several hours.
