Warsaw. They kidnapped a man from a cafe and robbed his apartment

The police detained four foreigners suspected of kidnapping, robbery and theft. According to investigators, the injured party was forcibly taken out of the cafe and taken to his apartment. There, the suspects allegedly stole items worth over PLN 10,000.

It all started a few days ago in a cafe in Wola. According to Jakub Pacyniak from the Warsaw III District Police Headquarters, a kidnapping took place there.

– In the afternoon, several men entered the premises and took the injured person outside by force and using an object resembling a firearm. Using violence, they put him in the car and drove away towards his place of residence. According to the police’s findings, the suspects, after reaching Warsaw’s Włochy district, stole items worth over PLN 10,000. They forbade the injured party from contacting the police and left him in his apartment, Pacyniak reported.

The suspects were arrested a few hours later. These are four men of Ukrainian and Russian nationality, two aged 24, a 25-year-old and a 29-year-old. – As a result of all activities, the police recovered the previously stolen property and seized a gas pistol, telescopic batons and brass knuckles – explained Jakub Pacyniak.

After spending a night in police custody, the detainees were charged with depriving a person of liberty, robbery and forcing them to behave in a specific manner.

– The court agreed to the request of the Warsaw Ochota District Prosecutor’s Office, imposing pre-trial arrest on the detainees for a period of three months. They may face up to 20 years in prison – concluded Pacyniak.
