A 27-year-old woman declared to help a senior citizen she met at the market. – She was supposed to do shopping for her, in the meantime she changed passwords on her bank accounts – say the police.
According to Marta Sulowska, spokeswoman for the Wola police, the young woman met an elderly lady at the market. “After knowing her for a long time, she offered to help her with her daily duties, mainly shopping. The senior citizen did not suspect anything. It was only her family who alerted the police who realized that she was being systematically robbed,” the policewoman said.
“Police officers from Bemowo determined that the 27-year-old woman gained access to the elderly lady’s account and changed IT data, which enabled transfers to be made,” she added.
