The woman met the 28-year-old on a social networking site and on the same day invited him to one of the Warsaw hotels. When she woke up, neither the man nor the BMW parked outside the hotel were there. She estimated all losses at over PLN 460,000. Midtown police arrested the suspect.
The victim met a man on a popular social networking site. – After a short conversation, she arranged to meet him in the evening in one of the hotels in the center of Warsaw. In exchange for his company, she offered the man 500 euros. The 28-year-old agreed to the offer. The next morning in the morning, the woman did not find the man she had just met in bed. Together with it, her BMW, worth over PLN 300,000, and everything she had in it, i.e. EUR 5,000, USD 2,000, two latest iPhones and computer equipment, “disappeared” from the hotel – described podinsp. The woman notified the police, described what had happened, and the police officers from the downtown property crime department were responsible for identifying the man and detaining him. They needed a few days. Monitoring helped.
– Police officers not only quickly located and recovered a BMW worth over PLN 300,000, but also detained the 28-year-old wanted. During a search in his apartment, the police found stolen computer equipment and one of the phones. It turned out that the man gave the second iPhone as a gift to his wife, reported Szumiata.
The man has already been charged. He now faces up to five years in prison.
