City guards detained two men who were painting on soundproof screens. They saw nothing wrong with it. Only while waiting for the police to arrive did they understand that they would have to bear the costs of removing their own “works”.
The attention of city guards from the 5th Regional Department, who were patrolling the Żoliborz and Bielany area at night from Saturday to Sunday, December 15, was drawn to two people behaving suspiciously at the sound-absorbing screens at the corner of Reymont Avenue and General Stanisław Maczek Street.
“After a moment of observation, there was no doubt – the men were spray-drawing an inscription several panels wide. When they saw the officers, the pseudo-artists ran away,” the city guard described in a statement.

However, the city guards were faster and the thirty-something men were caught up and captured. “At first, they didn't realize that they had done anything wrong. They explained that they had simply agreed to paint together. Only while waiting for the police did they understand that they would have to bear the costs of removing their painting from the screen,” the city guard emphasized. The men were handed over to the police.
The city guard reminds that there are several dozen locations in Warsaw intended for creating graffiti with impunity.
