The Warsaw Uprising Museum invites visitors to look for his backstage. A studio magazine was opened for this purpose. This is a place where four thousand items and souvenirs from the Warsaw Uprising were collected, not charged on a daily basis at the exhibition.
There are currently nearly 123,000 exhibits in the collection of the Warsaw Uprising Museum. They were placed in several different magazines, divided thematically and material. Museums decided to create a space where visitors will be able to learn some of the items, still kept in secret. She was called a studio magazine.
“Study magazine is a kind of museum cuisine – a place where history is not yet arranged, described and exhibited. It is strict, tangible and true” – informs MPW in a communiqué. The idea of ​​its creation was born during preparations for the exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. “At that time, we invited Marcin Wicha to cooperate – a man who was able to see the soul in every object. His sensitivity and unique approach inspired us to open a place where history speaks without a filter” – explained.

Cups, syringes, fragments of aircraft
Four thousand items were collected in the studio warehouse. For comparison, there are about a thousand at the entire MPW permanent exhibition.
The exhibits include: Edmund Baranowski's fire jacket “Jura”, flashlight Eugeniusz Ajewski “Anchor”, a British military uniform and Battle-Dress and a foragee belonging to Jan Nowak-JezioraÅ„ski, and the uniform and British hat of his wife-Jadwiga Nowak-JezioraÅ„ska “Greta”.

In addition, visitors will be able to see everyday objects, such as: cups, cutlery, children's toys, keys, purses, clothes, shoes, suitcases from the period of uprising. There are also military: military uniforms, holsters, radio stations, and fragments of aircraft. You can also see medical devices: from simple syringes to x -rays and field beds.

Sites in the room under the liberator
During a visit to the museum, go to the room under the liberator. There, in a specially separated place on the ground floor of the exhibition, there is a studio magazine. The exhibits are presented in glazed sites.
“The opening of this space is also a tribute to donors – people who gave their family souvenirs to become part of a common history. Each exhibit carries a story, and each donation contributed to the creation of this unique collection,” says MPW.
