City guards helped a 63-year-old woman who lost his orientation in the field. In this unusual intervention, the knowledge of sign language was useful, the basis of which is learned by paramedics. One of the officers knew him, which enabled communication.
On Tuesday, after 18:45, city guards from the 6th Local Department received enigmatically sounding notification: “a lost middle -aged woman wanders after Grzegorz Ciechowski's square. You can't communicate with her.”
The officers went to the place near the intersection of Kondratowicz and Saint. Wincentego, where the reporter showed them a nervous woman who was shaking with cold.
Knowledge of one of the languages turned out to be useful. “One of the guards who studied sign language during the rescue studies recognized that the nervous gestures she performed with her hands are a call for help. As the officers determined, the 63 -year -old got off at the wrong stop, got lost and could not find the right way home” – described the public guard in a message.

The phone helped in finding the house
In the company of uniformed, the woman calmed down a bit. It turned out that she had a phone with him that he helped find her place of residence. The guards called her son, who picked up her mother and safely took the woman home.
As they informed the uniform, there are 100 officers in the Municipal Guard in Warsaw with the rights of a rescuer, including 6 paramedics. They participate many times in interventions against people (especially the elderly) who have lost their orientation in the field.
“The guards remind you that people who have problems with orientation in the field or suffer from memory loss, it is good to equip with an ICE card. The number of a loved one discharged on it greatly facilitates quick help when the card holder is in danger” – they emphasized.
