Last weekend, for two nights, police and border guards carried out checks on passenger transport drivers. Among them, three were wanted, two were under the influence of alcohol, seven did not have a driving license.
According to the KSP press release, a total of 41 inspections were carried out. “The legality of providing transport services was checked in terms of qualifications, technical condition, markings and additional equipment of the vehicles. The sobriety of the drivers was also tested,” the command informs.
Wanted, driving without a license, under the influence of alcohol
In 13 cases, there was a violation of the Road Transport Act, including the lack of the required license and incorrect marking of the taxi (inconsistent with the resolution of the Warsaw Council). In addition, the police also found nine violations of the provisions of the Road Traffic Law.
“Seven drivers did not have driving licenses, including one using a fake driving license. One driver was subject to an active court driving ban. Two drivers were under the influence of alcohol,” KSP calculates.
During the inspection, the officers imposed 22 fines and prepared six applications for punishment to the court. 11 registration certificates and seven driving license documents were seized.
Among the people checked, three were wanted. “One person illegally staying in Poland (a citizen of Uzbekistan) and one person wanted to serve a prison sentence (a citizen of Georgia) were detained,” the capital police concluded.
