Not one, but five court bans. What do we know about the tragedy on Trasa Łazienkowska?
The aunt picked up the phone and called Łukasz: “The police are here, what have you done?” He replied: “It wasn't me, it was some Ukrainian.” He never returned home. Investigators admit that the man wanted on an arrest warrant for causing a fatal accident on Trasa Łazienkowska may already be abroad. We checked how long his criminal record is.
Piotr Antoni Skiba, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, was moved during Tuesday's press conference: – This is an exception when it comes to the proceedings that prosecutors have encountered in Warsaw in recent years. In this case, we are dealing with ruthless obstruction and abetment, which aimed to not identify the perpetrator and then make it difficult to arrest him.
He announced that more arrests are planned. – According to the information we have, there are other people involved in this case who obstructed the proceedings, helped the suspect evade justice, misled law enforcement agencies and provided him with assistance.
The main suspect, Łukasz Żak, who is wanted on an arrest warrant, remains elusive. Doctors at the hospital are fighting to bring back to health his colleague, Paulina. The one he and his colleagues wanted to leave wounded at the scene, without providing help.
The detainees, as the investigators have established, did not even allow witnesses to help her. Before the police arrived, they allegedly instructed the driver to “run away”. None of them pleaded guilty. They did not admit to the charges.
Rafał, 37, died in a tragic accident. His 8-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son and their mother are still in hospital.

Suspect: 26 years old, very long criminal record
Investigators are certain that it was Łukasz Żak who was behind the wheel of the Volkswagen that on the night from Saturday to Sunday on Trasa Łazienkowska rammed at high speed the Ford in which 37-year-old Rafał was returning home with his family.
– There really is a lot of it – I hear from one of my sources when I ask what Łukasz Żak was punished for.
I am checking the proceedings conducted in Warsaw courts. Żak was convicted of, among other things, drug offences and fraud. And at least five road offences, including driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
