The Public Transport Authority reacts to large queues that are formed in the last days in front of Passenger Service Points. The deadline for extending the e-hologram on the city card has been extended until the end of the year. You can do the operation yourself at any ticket machine.

The validity of the e-holograms expired on September 30. According to ZTM, “many passengers did not do it on time”. This week in front of Passenger Service Points there were long lines. Among those waiting are mainly students returning to full-time education, but also those who forgot to extend the validity of the e-hologram. They have to go through the e-hologram award procedure anew, provide documents, which in turn is associated with a visit to one of the 19 POPs. You have to wait even several dozen minutes before the point.

Therefore, the city has decided to extend the time to renew the e-hologram until the end of 2021. It is possible in stationary and mobile ticket machines, i.e. in buses, trams and SKM trains – in a total of over three thousand devices. The operation will only take a moment.

How to extend the validity of an e-hologram?

In the ticket machine, simply insert the Warsaw City Card into the pocket of the device, select the “extend e-hologram” option from the start menu and follow the displayed messages. It should be remembered that by extending the rights in this way, we make a declaration that we meet the conditions entitling to use the Varsovian Card. The Public Transport Authority may at any time ask for documents confirming the entitlement to be presented at the Passenger Service Point.

“Note, until the e-hologram is extended, it is invalid and you cannot take advantage of discounts, such as buying cheaper Warsaw Public Transport tickets, and the inspector may issue an additional fee to a person who has a Varsovian ticket purchased earlier” – warns the ZTM.

To extend or upload an e-hologram, you must be a resident of Warsaw and settle the personal income tax for 2020 in one of the Warsaw tax offices.
