On Sunday, the 77th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising is being celebrated in various places in Warsaw. At 2 p.m., the celebrations began at the monument of the Polish Underground State and the Home Army on the corner of Wiejska and Matejki Streets.

– Please remember, we are not heroes. We were just citizens of the Polish Underground State. Remember, follow your example not from bravery, but from rational thinking. You are serving Poland now. You have to think, you have to learn, you have to follow an example. Do not call us “heroes”, but take an example that will serve you to take further actions for Poland and for yourself – said Stanek.

She appealed to young people to be prudent. – Do not allow yourself to be forced on you by someone else’s beliefs. Remember that you are free, that it is up to you, only you, to decide. This decision must always be wise and prudent – she emphasized.
