77th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. On Saturday, the 30th Warsaw Uprising Run and the ride of the Uprising Mass will take place. Traffic disruptions will occur on the routes of both events. Some bus lines will be diverted.
On Saturday, August 7, there will be difficulties for drivers and passengers of public transport. Between 5 pm and 8:30 pm, the Masa Powstańcza 2021 bicycle will pass along the streets of Wola, Ochota and Śródmieście. The route is 15 kilometers long and runs along places connected with hospitals and dressing points operating in Warsaw during the Uprising and after its capitulation.
Cyclists will start from the Warsaw Uprising Museum and ride along ul. Wolska to ul. Płocka, then Górczewska, Okopowa, Stawki, Andersa, Marszałkowska to Trzech Krzyży Square, then Mokotowska, Koszykowa to Towarowa and back to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
As pointed out by the capital city hall, “on the route and on the streets crossing it, there may be temporary traffic stops and short-term difficulties in the operation of public transport vehicles”.

The Warsaw Uprising Run
In the evening, on Saturday, the 30th Warsaw Uprising Run will take place in Śródmieście, at a distance of 10 kilometers. Between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., the following streets will be closed: Bonifraterska, Miodowa, Krakowskie Przedmieście, Karowa, Browarna, Topiel, Kruczkowskiego, Ludna, Czerniakowska, Wilanowska, Wioślarska, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie (including the tunnel), Krajewskiego, Zakroczymska, and Konwiktorska. The runners will move along the western Wisłostrada road (from the Old Town side, towards Wilanów).
The start and finish will be organized at the Polonia Warszawa stadium at 6 Konwiktorska Street. Therefore, from 15:00 to 24:00, Konwiktorska / Muranowska Street (on the section from Andersa Street to Zakroczymska Street) and Międzyparkowa / Bonifraterska (on the section from the street) will be closed to traffic. Słomiński to Świętojerska Street). There will be a parking ban on these streets all day long.
Detours and changes in bus routes
On the other streets included in the route, including Wisłostrada, traffic will be suspended from 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm. “The organizer announces the opening of the streets as the last participants of the run leave them” – announced the town hall.
For the closed western carriageway of the Wisłostrada (on the section from Krasińskiego Street to Wilanowska Street), the detour will lead along the following streets: Trasa AK- al. Prymasa Tysiąclecia – Al. Jerozolimskie – “Grzymały” Sokołowskiego – Wawelska – Łazienkowska Route. It will also be possible to bypass the route along the following streets: Krasińskiego – Mickiewicza – Andersa – Marszałkowska – Waryńskiego – Trasa Łazienkowska. Detour for the closed streets of Bonifraterska, pl. Krasińskich and Miodowa will run along the following streets: Andersa – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska. The Powiśle area covered by the following streets: Browarna, Topiel, Kruczkowskiego and Czerniakowska will be provided with the possibility of communication services along the streets Dobra – Solec or Książęca – Rozbrat.
There are also difficulties for passengers of public transport. From 3 p.m., bus lines 100, 116, 178, 503 and 518 will change their routes.
From around 6.30 pm, the following buses will also travel around: 106, 118, 127, 162, 166, 180 and 185, as well as night lines: N14, N16, N44 and N64. As runners move on and more streets are opened for traffic, some detour routes will change, and subsequent lines will return to their basic routes.
