The construction of a road and a sidewalk to the housing estate under construction in Ursus is underway. The city activist pointed out that the slabs surround an electrical box that completely blocks the passage. As the district explains, this is not the final solution.

Krzysztof Daukszewicz from the Safe and Zielony Ursus association posted photos of the construction of the pavement on Edward Habicha Street a few days ago in social media. They show a fragment of the finished pavement. A white electric box remained in its center. “And it happened. The boys laid a pavement around the boxes, exactly as I expected. It is a pity that someone from @dzielnicaursus or @ZDM_Warszawa did not look at the project. I was denied access to the project, arguing that it was not public information, “he commented Daukszewicz on Twitter.

Edwarda Habicha Street is located perpendicularly to Posagu 7 Panien Street and leads to a new housing estate. In the photos taken on Monday by our reporter, you can see two electric boxes growing out of the new sidewalk. One is parallel to the threshing floor, which will probably be a lawn, the other – centrally in the middle. And this completely prevents free passage.

At the Ursus district office, we asked whether the construction of the pavement was supervised by the office, and also why the boxes were not moved, and finally, is this the final solution?

– Edward Habicha Street, together with the pavement, is a construction site at the moment – emphasized Agnieszka Wall, spokeswoman for the Ursus district. This means that the pavement is still not allowed to be used.

– The existing electrical boxes were used to power the investments in the vicinity. They will be removed before the road is completed and handed over to the district, Wall assured. After dismantling the boxes, the missing boards are to be supplemented. In addition, Wall stipulated that the district office does not oversee this work. – The investment is carried out by a private investor on the basis of Article 16 of the Act on Public Roads – said the representative of the office.

The provision cited by Wall says that “the construction or reconstruction of public roads caused by a non-road investment belongs to the investor of this project”. In this case, it is a developer building an estate.
