The Ursynów office asked cooperatives and housing associations in the district with a request to leave a bicycle ride and passages for parents with children’s prams through entrances equipped with barriers.
The Ursynów town hall sent a letter to housing cooperatives and communities, in which it appeals for the possibility of free bicycle use and parents with prams in the event of installation or renovation of the existing barriers blocking the entrance to the housing estates. The deputy mayor of Ursynów, Bartosz Dominiak, announced the case on Wednesday.
“In locations where there is no sidewalk, such a possibility could be provided by appropriate shortening the length of the barrier arm” – the Town Hall noted in the letter, adding that the introduction of the proposed solution would be a good way to promote an ecological means of transport, which is a bicycle, as well as a great help for parents of young children.
As Bartosz Dominik explained, one of the residents of Ursynów approached the town hall with such an idea.
