Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Warsaw on Wednesday. The capital city hall informed that on that day there will be traffic difficulties for drivers and passengers of public transport.
In connection with the visit of the President of Ukraine, changes in the routes of buses and trams are expected. If the streets are closed to traffic by the police, public transport vehicles will be directed to detours along the nearest passable streets. Their routes can also be shortened.
On Wednesday, passengers will be helped by Warsaw Public Transport informants. In key places, they will direct you to the best available means of transport. Traffic supervision instructors will work on the streets of Warsaw. Current information on the functioning of public transport will be available on WTP website or in WTP social media – in a “live” report from the streets of Warsaw, on Wednesday from 7 am to 6 pm. The city encourages you to use the subway and trains.
Mutual honoring of tickets
ZTM tickets are honored on Koleje Mazowieckie trains and on selected connections of other railway carriers. According to ZTM, passengers with ZTM cardboard tickets that have not been previously validated should “cancel” them by permanently writing the date and time of the start of the journey on their back, in a 24-hour format, i.e., e.g. 06.55 – or at the train manager. Persons with tickets encoded on the cards must activate them in advance on the tram or bus or at the metro gate. This can also be done after reporting to the train manager.
