Warsaw. Wreaths over the Vistula. Attractions. Who will perform?

As every year, residents will be able to welcome summer at Wianki on the Vistula River. The organizers invite you to a picnic, weaving wreaths and visiting reconstructed villages. In turn, Felivers will sing on stage, followed by Smolasty and Dawid Kwiatkowski. The culmination of the evening will be a concert dedicated to the work of the legend of Polish music – Kora Jackowska.

Wianki nad Wisłą is a Warsaw way to joyfully welcome summer. The event organized by Stołeczna Estrada is inspired by the Slavic tradition of Kupala Night. For several decades, it has been held on a Saturday in June, just before the summer solstice. Concerts of Polish and foreign stars, a family picnic or a reminder of old customs are just some of the attractions that await participants in the vicinity of the Multimedia Fountain Park. The event is financed by the City of Warsaw.

Picnic and themed zones during the day

The celebration of this year’s Wianki nad Wisłą will start on Saturday, June 24 with picnic attractions for the whole family. In the reconstructed village of the Slavs, you will be able to visit a weaving and pottery workshop and try ancient cuisine. – History lovers will certainly like the raftsman’s settlement – said the town hall in a communiqué.

The event area will also include various thematic zones, such as Eco Wianki, where you will be able to learn more about a sustainable lifestyle and ecology, or a workshop zone where you will be able to weave colorful, fragrant headgear. There will also be a culinary zone with traditional delicacies of Mazovia.

Concerts in the evening

On the stage by the Vistula river, the concerts will start at 19:15. The band Felivers will perform first, followed by Smolasty and Dawid Kwiatkowski. The culmination of the musical part of Wianki nad Wisłą will be a unique concert broadcast live on TVN dedicated to the work of the unforgettable leader of the band Manaam – Kora Jackowska.

During the event under the slogan “KORA. I came to the world for this”, interpretations of the artist’s greatest hits will be presented by: Ralph Kamiński, Krzysztof Zalewski, Kwiat Jabłoni, Muniek Staszczyk, Bovska, Organek, Natalia Przybysz, Ania Karwan, Maciej Musiałowski, Karolina Lizer & Zee Krayski and exMaanam.

– Wianki nad Wisłą is, as usual, an event that we organize out of love for Warsaw. This year, the final concert will be held under the slogan: “KORA. I came into the world for this”. This is our tribute to a great artist and her love of music. For a brave, extraordinary and strong woman. With Kora’s poetry, start the summer with us in the capital – we all know Maanam’s hits – invites Aldona Machnowska-Góra, deputy mayor of Warsaw, to Wianki nad Wisłą.

Facilities for people with disabilities

As the town hall informed, a special, marked zone for people with disabilities will be separated for the time of Wianki nad Wisłą. It will be equipped with a platform for wheelchair users and an induction loop for the hard of hearing and hearing impaired.
