Alcohol, crisps, cheeses or sausages. Such products were allegedly taken from one of the stores by a 38-year-old resident of the Wasilków commune (Podlaskie province). The value of the losses was estimated at over PLN 3.5 thousand. According to the police, the man visited the store 34 times. The procedure looked like this: the man put the products in a bag, went to the cash register and paid only for some of the items.
A security guard reported to the police that a surveillance camera in the store had recorded a man who had been stealing goods repeatedly since the beginning of July.
“The thief entered the store with an empty fabric bag and put various products in it. These included alcohol, crisps, cheese, sausages, but also chemicals and cosmetics,” we read in a statement on the website of the City Police Headquarters in Białystok.

The officers determined that the man then went to the cash register and paid for only some of the items, and took the rest of the unpaid products out in a bag. Since the beginning of July, he visited the store 34 times and always used the same method. The value of the losses was estimated at over PLN 3.5 thousand.
The police determined that the man from the surveillance footage is a 38-year-old resident of the Wasilków commune.
He faces up to five years in prison.
“He was detained in his home by police officers from the Wasilków police station. There, the officers found a room where he kept some of the stolen products,” the police reported.
The 38-year-old was arrested and charged with theft. He faces up to five years in prison.
