After locating the trailer, the rescuers noticed that there were two older people sending signals using flashlights in cell phones. The officers had to act quickly because the water level was still growing. It was decided to create an improvised rescue rope, thanks to which they managed to reach the victims and give them life vests.

Ultimately, the whole action was successful and the French at the age of 78 and 79 safely left the sinking trailer with their dogs. Due to the symptoms of hypothermia and confusion, they were immediately evacuated to provide medical assistance.
