Two people died as a result of heavy rains, which hit Oklahoma on Saturday to Sunday at night. According to the Local Police Department, the car was kidnapped by swollen water during a rescue operation. Dangerous weather conditions also prevail there on Sunday.

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, intense went over the southern and Central United States storms. A particularly difficult situation prevailed in Oklahomie, where the entire state of flooding was in force throughout the state.

Tragedy during the action

“It was a historical weather event that blocked traffic on the roads and caused dozens of incidents with high water,” said police from the city of Moore.

Around 9pm of local time, officers received a notification about two cars trapped on a flooded road. During the rescue operation, one of the cars was kidnapped by swollen water. There were still two people inside, an adult woman and a 12-year-old boy. The police hurried to help them, but it was too late – both passengers died.

The police in Moore appealed to the residents to stay at home. As officers explained in social media, at night they received a dozen or so calls from drivers imprisoned in cars.

Dangerous at Easter

This is not the only place where the storms caused a lot of damage. In the city of Ada in Oklahomie, a strong wind damaged a local shopping center – the initial assessment showed that Tornado could go there. Officers from Montague in Texas also had full hands, where water was in the streets until Sunday.

The National weather service (NWS) said that strong storms are also expected over the region on Sunday. The element is to roller over the area from Texas to Iowa and Illinois, while for some Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Oklahoma warnings against tornadoes have been issued.
