Divers fished out a body from Skarlińskie Lake in Wawrowice (Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship). Police have not yet confirmed whether it is the body of a man wanted since April 30, who fell into the water.
On Monday around 3 am, the Special Group of Polish Scuba Divers searched for the second victim accident on Lake Skarlińskie near Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. During the activities, they noticed an object resembling a human body in the mud.
– We have been conducting activities for several weeks at the special request of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Olsztyn. We were supposed to help reveal the body of one of the two men who drowned on Lake Skarlińskie. We continuously analyzed the collected material and based on the conclusions, analyzes and exchange of experiences, we managed to find the man’s body this morning – said Maciej Rokus, head of the Special Group of Płetwonurków RP, in an interview with tvn24.pl.
He added that the team attempted to explore the bottom of Lake Skarlińskie several times, without results. The divers’ activities lasted for several weeks.
A man’s body was fished out of Lake Skarlińskie
Aspirant Ludmiła Mroczkowska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, confirmed that divers had fished out the body of a man from Lake Skarlińskie today.
– The body has not yet been identified, so I cannot confirm that it is the man wanted since April 30. The body was found by a group of scuba divers. They were caught in Wawrowice on Lake Skarlińskie. The services are still operating – said Mroczkowska
