The weather will change significantly after the holidays. It will cool down by up to about 10 degrees Celsius overnight. It will be cloudy and rainy, and in the middle of the week there may also be sleet in parts of Poland.

On Monday, the secondary storm Patricia will approach us from the west, gradually bringing a wavy atmospheric front closer to our borders – informs tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Daniel Kowalczyk.

Rainy Monday in most parts of the country will be marked by sunny weather with little and moderate cloudiness. In the afternoon and evening in the western regions, the sky will be covered with more clouds, rainfall of 1-10 liters per square meter will occur, and locally there will be thunderstorms, during which 10-20 l/sq m will fall. and the wind will gust up to 80 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature will range from 18 degrees Celsius in the Szczecin Lowland to 25 degrees C in Małopolska. The wind will blow lightly from the south in the north of the country, otherwise moderately, sometimes stronger. At times, gusts of up to 60 km/h are possible, and in the mountains up to 80-100 km/h.

As the forecaster announces, “by Tuesday the front will roll over the eastern part of the country, displacing the hot tropical air and thus opening the freedom of western circulation and paving the way for moist and cool polar air masses from the Atlantic.”

Tuesday will be cloudy with some showers. There will be periods of rainfall up to 10 l/sq m. Thermometers will show a maximum of 9 degrees C in Gdańsk Pomerania to 14 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind will be west, moderate and quite strong, with gusts up to 50-70 km/h.

Rain and sleet

– The passage of the front will end the period of idyllic weather. We will experience a sudden cooling, followed by a period of cloudy weather with rain, which may fall together with snow in some places. The migration of subsequent front zones will harass us until Friday, after which we will have another warm and sunny weekend – informs Kowalczyk.

On Wednesday it will be cloudy with showers. Rainfall of up to 5 l/sq m will occur in most of the country, and rain and snow may also occur in the Suwałki and Podlasie regions. The maximum temperature will reach from 5 degrees C in the Suwałki region to 14 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind will blow from the west, weak and moderate in the west, and quite strong in the eastern part of the country, with gusts up to 50-70 km/h.

Warmer on Friday

Thursday will be cloudy, but the sky will clear up. There is also rain, from 1 to 5 l/sq m. Thermometers will show a maximum of 7 degrees C in the Suwałki region to 16 degrees C in Lesser Poland and Podkarpacie. The wind will be light and moderate, west.

Friday will bring heavy cloud cover with clear showers in southwestern Poland. In Pomerania, there will be light, below 3 l/sq m, rainfall. The maximum temperature will range from 12 degrees C in Podlasie to 19 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The wind will blow from the southwest with weak to moderate strength.
