Slowly but steadily hot air will be displaced from the center of Europe by cooler air masses. Initially, the cooling will be hardly noticeable, but later, during the last weekend of August, we will clearly feel the chill coming from the northwest. The intrusion of cooler air into our part of the continent will be possible thanks to the strengthening high pressure, the center of which will be far away, over the Atlantic, but it will cause the movement of cooler air masses from west to east Europe (see map).

At the beginning of the week it will be hot, and in the south of the country it will be hot, up to 32 degrees Celsius. The temperature reaching 30 or almost 30 degrees C will last until Friday outside of northern Poland, and then we will have a big cooling down and during the next weekend it will only be 17, 18 degrees C in the north of the country, and 26 degrees C in the south. The following days, i.e. the turn of August and September, promise to have a maximum temperature of 23, 24 degrees Celsius, but in the northern part of the country it will usually be below 20 degrees Celsius.
