After a long break, the African heat is approaching Poland again. Check the long-term weather forecast for 16 days.
We’ve all felt a clear warming up this weekend, but the biggest heat is yet to come. Hot air flows to Poland, because a balance of forces has been created over Europe that guarantees a heat strike in our part of the continent – so we have a high above Ukraine and at the same time than over Great Britain. Together, these two pressure centers pump hot air masses from Africa to the center of Europe (see map).

A few days of intense heatwave is ahead of us. In the middle of the week we will see 34-35 degrees Celsius on thermometers. It will be hot, because with the temperature reaching or exceeding 30 degrees, it will be almost to the end of the week. Later, that is, after August 20, there will be no such heat, but still the end of the month promises to be very warm, and sometimes even hot, because it will be up to 28 degrees. It will be cooler, i.e. up to 24 degrees, only in the last days of August.
