After passing the snow low Brygida, we will have a cooling down, and at night even a dozen or so degrees of frost. Check Tomasz Wasilewski’s long-term weather forecast for 16 days.
Frosty arctic air is already flowing from the north to Poland, but the coldest nights and days are yet to come. They will arrive in the middle of the week, when the low will be replaced by the high that is now forming over Scandinavia in a cold air mass. This high will not only be conducive to strong night frosts during clear periods, but also block the inflow of warm air to our part of Europe and this situation will persist throughout the week (see map).
The frost will last until next Monday
Clear cooling and frosty weather is ahead of us throughout the country – in the middle of the week during the day even -8 degrees Celsius, and around -15 degrees at night. The frost, although weaker now, will remain in many regions, mainly in the east, until next Monday. Later, just before Christmas, warming will come to Poland and in the west of the country the temperature may rise to 5-6 degrees, and in the east it will be about 0 degrees.
The next 16-day temperature forecast for next Sunday.
