The weather in Poland is still shaped by a humid than with a snowfall zone. It will also rain in the coming days, but not as intensely as over the weekend. However, this does not mean the end of winter weather, because mornings in some regions can bring us temperatures of -16 degrees Celsius.
According to tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, Poland is in the cold, humid Arctic air, under the influence of a humid low-pressure system moving from Belarus and the Baltic States towards Finland. The wide zone of the snowy atmospheric front associated with the low will lie over north-eastern and northern Poland, thus moving the zone of heavy snowfall from the southern part of the country to the northern one.
As the humid air vortex moves north, the snowfall will lessen. The pressure will increase as a high pressure will develop over the Carpathians, bringing clear spells for a short time, but also a strong drop in temperature in the middle of the week. On Saturday there is a chance that the lows will win and start to pull warm air masses from south-western Europe with a thaw. Unfortunately, the snow that has just fallen may not last until Christmas in many places. The situation is changing like a kaleidoscope – commented Unton-Pyziołek.
