Poland is under the influence of low pressures moving from the southern and central parts of the continent towards western Russia. They draw moist air masses from the Mediterranean and Black Seas, which, when colliding with cold air of Arctic origin, coming from the north of the continent, form atmospheric fronts, informed tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Daniel Kowalczyk. He added that these fronts will bring snowfall to Poland during the night from Saturday to Sunday and on Sunday during the day. The main frontal rainfall zone will move over the southern and eastern parts of the country, which is why it will rain the most in these areas.
The cold air pushed in by the high from northern Scandinavia will make the night temperature in the northern part of Poland locally drop below -5 degrees Celsius.
In addition, on Sunday the wind will blow stronger in the east of the country, causing snow blowing in places, and the felt temperature will be much lower than that indicated by thermometers.
