What weather awaits us in July? Will the heat take its toll? The long-term forecast for this month prepared by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management shows that the temperature in the south, west and center of the country is expected to be above normal.

Within 10 days, until June 30, the maximum temperature will range from 17 degrees Celsius in the north of the country to 30 degrees C in the south.

– Values ​​of around 30 degrees will occur only on single days, and although it will be warm, no longer heat waves can be seen for now – said Dr. Radosław Droździoł, a weather forecaster from IMWM. In the coming week, from June 24 to 30, there will be less rainfall than recently. This week will be definitely summery in the north and a little cooler by the sea.

Weather for July 2024

According to the latest long-term forecast, from July 1 to July 28 in southern Poland the temperature will be above the long-term norm. It will be similar in the center and west of the country. Only in northern Poland the temperature will remain within normal limits.

– When it comes to the temperature as part of the long-term weather for July, we already use concepts such as average temperature, air temperature above normal, within normal or below normal – said Droździoł. The forecaster added that the forecast does not contain information about the temperature above 30 degrees Celsius, but only about the probability of a maximum temperature above 30 degrees Celsius.

When will it be the hottest in July? – The probability of heatwaves is greatest from July 15 to 28, and in the first half of July the chance of heatwaves is lower – said Droździoł. – July is expected to have rainfall within normal limits and slightly below – he added.

The forecaster added that in the case of long-term forecasts, unlike medium-term forecasts, exact values ​​cannot be expected.
